NEW MOTORWAY TO IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY OF PRAGUE AIRPORT

From 20th September, the accessibility of Prague Airport will be significantly improved by opening of the new south-west part of the Prague ring road. This section of the ring road will link the existing by-pass between Prague Airport and the D5 motorway with the D1 motorway, thus enabling a fast and efficient connection for transportation from the eastern parts of the Czech Republic to Prague Airport. All of this traffic will be able to use the new section of the Prague ring road instead of going slowly through the centre of Prague. The ongoing extension of the national road network helps Prague Airport to further develop its catchment area, already exceeding 8 million people within a two hours radius.
