PRAGUE AIRPORT WiFi CONNECTION GUIDELINES

FREE NETWORK CONNECTION

If you have a notebook, a PDA or a cell phone correctly configured, you can connect to the network prg.aero-free (SSID). Free WiFi allows unlimited use of the Internet; sites can be browsed at a speed of up to 10 Mbit/s.

1. Select Start -> Settings -> Network connections
2. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select “Show available wireless network“
3. A list of accessible networks will display, choose prg.aero-free network and click the “Connect“ button.
4. After connecting to the prg.aero-free network, open your Internet browser. You will be automatically redirected to WiFi homepage.

    

   

5. You can now use the Internet-based services free of charge. In 15 minutes you will be redirected back to the Prague Airport webpage, where you will receive more information about the paid Hotspot services.

PAID HOTSPOT NETWORK CONNECTION

Proceed equally as in the case of a free network connection with the only exception that the network to select will be prg.aero-hotspot. Open your Internet browser and you will be redirected to the hotspot homepage where you can find information regarding tariffs and payments. This network provides high-speed (up to 10 Mbps) and ad-free Internet connection.

After connecting to the prg.aero-hotspot, open your Internet browser. You will be automatically redirected to homepage.

HOW TO PAY FOR YOUR HOTSPOT TARIFF

1. On homepage, select a tariff and click the “Next“ button.

2. On the following page, fill in your e-mail address and country of origin (payment confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address).

3. The next page is summary of the order a you will be informed about next step (redirection to the payment portal site). Tick the “I agree with Commercial Terms“ option and click the “Order“ button.


4. You will now be redirected to the secure payment portal site. Fill in all credit card details.

5. Upon payment completion, the generated login details - user name and password will be displayed.

HOW TO CONNECT TO THE HOTSPOT NETWORK

1. After payment completion and acquiring the login details - user name and password, proceed to the Login page by clicking “here“ bellow (see the previous image). Fill in your login details and click the “Log in“ button. Successful login opens the service and initiates a withdrawal of funds secured at your bank account upon service order.

   YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD MUST BE USED WITHIN 30 MIN. If you fail to log in within 30 min, the whole transaction will be cancelled and the funds secured at your bank account will be released. To get a new user name and password, the above described procedure must be repeated.

2. A service page will display in your web browser window. DO NOT CLOSE this window and DO NOT USE it to link to other websites. Use a new window instead. Closing this window will cause the service disruption. To reconnect to the service, open the window again and you will be automatically redirected to the login page. To login, use your existing user name and password.

If you experience problems, please check the following settings:

Set the TCP/IP protocol to DHCP mode:

1. Click the “Start“ button.
2. Go to “Settings“
3. Select “Network connections“
4. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select “Properties“.
   Select “Internet protocol (TCP/IP)“ and click the “Properties“ button.

   

5. Tick the “Obtain an IP address automatically“ option and the “Obtain DNS server address automatically“ option and confirm by clicking the “OK“ button.

Microsoft Internet Explorer settings

1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and select the “Tools“ option. Select the “Internet setting“ option and proceed the “connection“ tab.
2. Select “Local area network“ and open a window for the “LAN setting“.
3. Assure that these options have not been selected: “Automatically detect settings“, “use automatic configuration script“ and “Use a proxy server for your lan“.

    

   

   Wireless adapter settings using Microsoft Windows:

   1. Click the “Start“ button
   2. Select “Settings“
   3. Select “Network connections“
   4. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select the “Properties“ option. Click the “Wireless networks“ tab.
   5. Tick “Configure setting of wireless network by Windows“
