PRAGUE AIRPORT WiFi CONNECTION GUIDELINES

FREE NETWORK CONNECTION

If you have a notebook, a PDA or a cell phone correctly configured, you can connect to the network prg.aero-free (SSID). Free WiFi allows unlimited use of the Internet.

  1. Select Start -> Settings -> Network connections
  2. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select “Show available wireless network“
  3. A list of accessible networks will display, choose prg.aero-free network and click the “Connect“ button. Free network connection
  4. After connecting to the prg.aero-free network, open your Internet browser.
  5. You can now use the Internet-based services free of charge.

 

If you experience problems, please check the following settings:

Set the TCP/IP protocol to DHCP mode:

  1. Click the “Start“ button.
  2. Go to “Settings“
  3. Select “Network connections“
  4. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select “Properties“.
    Select “Internet protocol (TCP/IP)“ and click the “Properties“ button.

  5. Tick the “Obtain an IP address automatically“ option and the “Obtain DNS server address automatically“ option and confirm by clicking the “OK“ button.

Microsoft Internet Explorer settings

  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and select the “Tools“ option. Select the “Internet setting“ option and proceed the “connection“ tab.
  2. Select “Local area network“ and open a window for the “LAN setting“.
  3. Assure that these options have not been selected: “Automatically detect settings“, “use automatic configuration script“ and “Use a proxy server for your lan“.

    Wireless adapter settings using Microsoft Windows:

      1. Click the “Start“ button
      2. Select “Settings“
      3. Select “Network connections“
      4. Right-click the “Wireless network connection“ option and select the “Properties“ option. Click the “Wireless networks“ tab.
      5. Tick “Configure setting of wireless network by Windows“
