CEM (Collaborative Environmental Management) is a European project introduced by EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, and supported by all other civil aviation organisations, particularly the ACI EUROPE (Airports Council International Europe). The CEM Working Group was established in 2010 as a result of the need for co-operation and co-ordination among key Prague Airport partners in the field of environmental protection.

The CEM Working Group includes representatives of Prague Airport, the Air Traffic Control of the Czech Republic, Czech Airlines and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic.

Benefits of Co-operation of Working Group Members:

  • optimisation of operations and procedures

  • increased efficiency and effectiveness of aircraft handling procedures

  • reduced operating costs

  • efficient protection of individual components of the environment

  • joint communication protocols and environmental protection activities
