  • Prague Airport Continues to Lower Prices and Expand Services with Winter Parking Offer and Guaranteed Bottled Water for Under 1 EUR


    Prague Airport has launched new innovations for passenger. It now guarantees all passengers the option of purchasing bottled water for less than EUR 1 (CZK 27) after passing through passport control and security screening. In the winter season, the company will also offer 8-day parking directly at the airport from CZK 590, thus fulfilling its commitment given to the general public in September 2015. These positive changes have resulted from the long-term goal of improving the airport environment and services, as communicated in the “Enhancing Your Airport Experience” campaign.

  • Operation and Security Exercise underway today at Václav Havel Airport Prague


    An operation and security exercise is taking place on 21 October 2015 from 01:30 to 04:30 p.m. at Václav Havel Airport Prague. All interventions will be limited to the public and non-public area of the connection building between Terminals 1 and 2. The exercise will not restrict the operation of the airport in any way.

  • Prague Airport wins the prestigious World Routes Marketing Award 2015


    Prague Airport won first place in the category of airports checking in 4 to 20 million passengers a year at the World Routes international conference which was held from 19 to 22 September in Durban, South Africa. It won for the first time in its history in global competition with other airports. At this biggest world venue of air carriers and airports, airline representatives appreciated the quality of mutual cooperation in the development of air connections and in marketing support.

  • Prague Airport installs explosives detectors at both terminals


    The operator of Václav Havel Airport Prague is investing about 30 million crowns in a new explosives detector system. This is required by updated European security rules which came into force on 1 September 2015. The new detection devices can, to a considerable extent, replace the existing form of full-body search of passengers by touch and thereby significantly speed up the whole security check process of some people.

  • New, Better Arranged Arrival to Václav Havel Airport Prague to Be Launched


    Effective 1st September 2015, a new exit from the R7 motorway to Václav Havel Airport Prague will be opened in the direction from Prague to Slaný. Cars headed to the airport will leave the motorway after passing under a bridge over the R7 motorway connecting the Tuchoměřice and Ruzyně areas. The reason for the new motorway construction is to make the airport arrival more straightforward and to provide sufficient capacity for future increases in passenger volumes. The change will be clearly communicated by new traffic signs.

  • Václav Havel Prague Airport making changes to catering – lowering prices and expanding services with new restaurants


    Prague Airport is introducing further novelties for its passengers and this time in gastronomic services. It is expanding its current offer by two Mexican restaurants Rancheros which will serve quality food at a reasonable price above all to Czech passengers. Thus they can already begin their holiday at the airport. The changes come as part of the “Enhancing Your Airport Experience” concept which aims to make the time spent by passengers at Václav Havel Prague Airport more pleasant and follows on from the previous improvement to parking services.

  • 270,000 More Passengers Used Vaclav Havel Airport Prague during the First Half of This Year than during the Same Period Last Year


    The performance of Vaclav Havel Airport Prague for the first half of 2015 confirms the increasing interest in Prague as a destination. During the first half of 2015, a total of 5,233,583 passengers were handled at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague. Compared to the same period in 2014, this represents an increase of almost 270,000.

  • Prague to have new direct regular connection with China, as of this September a direct flight route will begin operating from Prague to Beijing


    At a press conference in China today Hainan Airlines announced the start of the operation of a direct regular flight route between Prague and Beijing. This comes as the result of intensive talks held between the airline and representatives of Prague Airport company as of the end of last year. The first flight is to take place on 23 September 2015.

  • New Image at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague: Both Terminals and Surroundings to Undergo Changes


    Czech Aeroholding has called for a two-round urban–transport tender resulting in new ideas for the image of the public area outside Terminals 1 and 2. The aim is to obtain a bid to reorganize transportation and create an urban concept for the public and development areas for preparing the construction of railway connections and the new parking system. In the future, a representative, friendly area is to be developed outside the terminals featuring a smart solution for car transportation and parking. The current interior of Terminals 1 and 2 is also to undergo modification to evoke the beginning of passengers’ holidays in Prague and the CR immediately upon their arrival.

  • New AEROPARKING offers the most convenient parking directly at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague


    As of 1 June 2015 Letiště Praha is introducing several important changes in the parking system to significantly improve its services. The new, unmistakable brand AEROPARKING offers a complex of six parking lots located directly at the airport. Thus the parking services have been expanded, bringing modifications to local navigation and to the names of individual parking lots, which now correspond to their purpose.* The reservation system has been simplified, along with the price list, offering the best price-quality ratio in the marketplace. These new changes are part of the long-term goal of continuing to make the airport customer-friendly.
