Air France Launches New Prague – Marseille Connection

The direct connection to what is now the third destination in France will offer passengers more options

Air France is launching a direct flight today between the Prague/Ruzyne International Airport and the airport in Marseille. The flight to Marseille will take place two times per week, expanding the existing offering of Air France direct flights to Paris and Lyon.

"I'm happy to be able to offer our passengers on another direct connection between the Czech Republic and France. Provence is one of the most popular tourist destinations in France. I trust that travelers from the Czech Republic, too, will be happy about the new destination," says Frantisek Siling, head of AIR FRANCE KLM for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

"We're pleased that, thanks to Air France, we are now able to offer our passengers a Prague-Marseille link which will function under the winter flight schedule, as well," says Stanislav Zeman, Executive Director of Prague Airport for Air Commerce and Marketing. He adds: "Air France is an important partner of Prague Airport. The airline transported approximately 230,000 passengers between Prague, Paris and Lyon just from January through August of this year. Adding another French city as a destination will increase those numbers." 

The Marseille flight will use an Airbus 319 with an overall capacity of 142 seats. The connection will depart from Prague every Wednesday at 12:25 PM, arriving in Marseille at 2:25 PM, as well as every Saturday, departing at 8:45 PM and arriving in Marseille at 10:45 PM. Flights bound for Prague from Marseille will depart every Wednesday at 10 AM, arriving in Prague at 11:50 AM, with Saturday departures scheduled for 6:20 PM, arriving in Prague at 8:10 PM.
