Jiří Černík Becomes New Member of Prague Airport Board of Directors

On 15 October 2019, Jiří Černík was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of Letiště Praha, a. s., where he will oversee finance, purchasing and information technology. Jiří Černík comes to Prague Airport from Skanska, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and acquired experience in the field of construction industry, which will be crucial especially for the planned investments and financing the development of Václav Havel Airport Prague in the following years, during which it is planned to expand Terminal 2, build a new parallel runway and, in the longer term, develop the so-called Airport City in the vicinity of the airport.

Jiří Černík graduated from Masaryk University in Brno with a degree in Financial Management. Prior to joining Prague Airport, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Skanska, and before that he gained a broad range of experience in financial management, controlling and auditing in the fields of consulting, gas, industry and technology. Apart from Skanska, Jiří Černík also worked for Zetor Trade as Finance Director and for Honeywell as Financial Analyst for Europe. Moreover, he served as Director at Jihomoravská plynárenská, where he was responsible for controlling, and held the post of Audit Supervisor at EY Czech Republic (formerly Ernst & Young).

His skills are valuable to us in many other areas as well, because as Chief Financial Officer at Skanska, Jiří Černík acquired vast experience in the construction industry, which will be highly beneficial for us in view of the planned investments in the development of Prague Airport,” says Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors.
