Václav Havel Airport Prague has put on festive attire. The airport has been richly adorned with Christmas decorations, including several Christmas trees. Passengers can also look forward to enjoying Christmas markets, Christmas concerts performed by a choir and traditional gingerbread cookies that will be passed out.

On 3 and 4 December, you can take part in special St. Nicholas tours of the airport. There will be a St. Nicholas-themed photo booth for children. And if you visit the fire station, you can see an improvised hell. Every young visitor who passes through it will be rewarded with a certificate and something sweet.

On 5 December, passengers and all visitors will have the opportunity to meet St. Nicholas walking with an angel and a devil throughout the public part of the airport. They will be passing out sweet treats and other gifts in exchange for a poem or a song.

Christmas is hard to imagine without Christmas carols. The Lucky Voice Band choir will sing in both terminals. Concerts will take place on 9 and 16 December at 6.15 pm. The choir will first sing in the arrival hall of Terminal 1 next to the Christmas tree. Approximately 30 minutes later, the carollers will transfer to the non-public part of the airport in pier C. They will end their performance in the public part of the Terminal 2 departure hall. The choir, which is composed of forty members, will sing both Czech and English Christmas carols that are inseparably connected with the magic of Christmas.

Just like in previous years, passengers will be able to choose original Christmas presents made by people from sheltered workshops and non-profit organisations. A charity Christmas market will take place from 16 to 18 December in the connecting corridor between Terminals 1 and 2 from 9 am to 4 pm. On all three days, the market will offer handmade and other promotional items from non-profit organisations, such as UNICEF, Světluška, an organisation that helps the blind, Dobromysl, a therapeutic and requalification centre for the blind, and the K srdci klíč organisation that helps the homeless.

There will also be a special exhibition on Czech Christmas traditions that will open at the beginning of December in the connecting wing of the non-public part between Terminals 1 and 2.

On Christmas Eve, gingerbread cookies from the Modrý domeček sheltered workshop will be passed out. Passengers will receive them directly from airport employees who will be easily distinguishable by their red Christmas hats. If you do not get yours, you can also pick them up at the information counters in both terminals.
