easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, has announced the launch of a new direct service from Prague to Berlin Tegel, the city’s central international airport and easyJet’s newest base. Czech travellers can now use easyJet to connect with Germany’s largest city, with fares starting from as little as 524 CZK*. This route will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, starting from 21 April 2018.

Direct scheduled flights between Prague and Berlin represent an important connection for business travellers. Therefore, we are glad that it was possible to replace the discontinued operation of the previous carrier and relaunch the route between Prague and the German capital in such short time, i.e. effective 21 April 2018. We expect the direct flights to be use by over 26 thousand passengers in both directions,” said Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Board of Director of Prague Airport.

Since its first flight to Prague in 1999, easyJet has been carrying over 13 million passengers and now flies to 12 destinations, including Amsterdam, London and Milan. The airline flew a record number of passengers to and from Prague in 2017 with over 1.2 million passengers, which represents a 9.3% increase compared to 2016. easyJet also won the title of Quietest Airlines at Václav Havel Airport Prague in 2017 thanks to its modern Airbus-only fleet and its new Airbus A320neo aircraft, which are 50% quieter than existing aircraft on the take-off and landing.

Flights are now on sale at the carrier’s website: www.easyJet.com.
