New Travel Conditions for Journeys to the Netherlands

Information for passengers
Return to home

According to a new measure implemented by the Dutch government effective Tuesday, 16 March 2021, the conditions for travelling to the Netherlands as well as transferring in Amsterdam have been changed. Passengers transferring at Amsterdam airport Schiphol to a connecting flight must now present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result (not older than 72 hours from sampling). They no longer need to present an antigen test result, which, until now, had to be taken at the maximum four (4) hours before the scheduled departure. Passengers thus had to take it directly at the airport before checking in for their flight. Thanks to the currently set conditions, transferring in Amsterdam to connecting flights to further destinations will be easier.

If a passenger needs to enter the territory of the Netherlands (at a different place than the airport) they must present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result not older than 24 hours from sampling, or a combination of an RT-PCR test result (at the maximum 72 hours from sampling) and a negative antigen test result performed at the maximum 24 hours in advance.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines currently offers direct connections from Prague to Amsterdam. Details regarding the current flight schedule and in-flight conditions can be found on the carrier's website www.klm.com.
