16. 1. 2026Prague Airport has announced the best-performing airlines of 2025 across five different categories. The results reflect the airport's long-term focus on enhancing service quality and strengthening relantionships with key partners – the airlines. Representatives of the winning carriers received their awards during a gala evening held as part of the airport's annual partner event. The award for the fastest-growing carrier at Václav Havel Airport Prague in 2025 went to easyJet, surpassing Ryanair, which had dominated this category for the previous two years. easyJet also secured first place in the sustainability category. The evaluation criteria included, for example, aircraft noise and emission performance based on category classification, as well as each airline's approach to decarbonisation and other sustainability areas. For the third consecutive year, Finnair defended its title as the most operationally reliable carrier. This award is presented by Prague Airport for achieving the best results in selected operational areas, such as punctuality, adherence to operational procedures or baggage unloading times. Prague Airport values its cooperation with all carriers and uses this award to acknowledge their contribution to improving the quality of services provided to passengers at their airport. Airline's marketing campaigns developed in cooperation with Prague Airport were also evaluated. In this category, Etihad Airways won its campaign promoting the new direct connection to Abu Dhabi. The expert jury included marketing professionals from partner tourism agencies, including CzechTourism and Prague City Tourism. Key evaluation ctiteria included the visibility of the Prague Airport brand, the attractiveness of the visual concept and the clarity of the message. The cargo carriers with the highest year-on-year increase in transported freight and mail in 2025 was Central Airlines, which launched a new cargo route between Chengdu, China, and Prague last year.
