From 1 September, experienced manager and PR expert Marek Zeman will become the new Director of Communications and Marketing at Prague Airport. In his new role, he will be responsible for the overall strategy for internal and external communications, marketing, media relations, the development of the airport’s communications with the public and partners, and the customer experience.
Marek Zeman brings to Prague Airport a wealth of experience, spanning more than twenty years, in leading communications at key public sector institutions and international corporations. Previously, he served as Director of the Communications Department at the Czech National Bank, where, among other responsibilities, he oversaw the communications strategy during the phasing out of the CNB’s exchange rate commitment. He also gained significant experience in the private financial sector. At AXA Czech Republic, he spent six years as Director of PR and Communications for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while at ING Bank N.V. he focused on public affairs and sustainable finance. He also headed the communications departments at Czech the Ministry of Finance and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. In 2022 he led communications for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU at the Office of the Government.
In addition to his management experience, Marek Zeman has long been involved in academic work. He shares his theoretical and practical insights with students at the Department of Marketing Communication and Public Relations within Charles University's Faculty of Social Sciences, where he works as a visiting lecturer. For his work to date, he has previously received the Spokesperson of the Year and Press Spokesperson of the Year awards.
