Prague Airport is expanding its direct routes to Saudi Arabia in collaboration with flyadeal. Today, the airline officially inaugurated flights on the route between Prague and Riyadh, and is also opening a new route to Jeddah. Both of these seasonal connections will operate three times a week. For flyadeal, Prague is a key destination for its expansion into Europe.

“We are delighted to welcome a new airline, flyadeal, to Prague. This new connection from Jeddah and the added capacity from Riyadh will continue to improve our connectivity with the Middle East and strengthen relations between the Czech Republic and Saudi Arabia. We have seen a long-term growth in the number of affluent passengers travelling here from Saudi Arabia, and we expect these new routes to carry a combined total of roughly 20,000 passengers in both directions over the course of their seasonal operation,” says Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prague Airport.

Both routes will launch at the start of the summer holidays – Riyadh on 1 July and Jeddah on 2 July – and will operate until the end of September. Flyadeal will operate these scheduled flights using an Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 186 passengers. Flyadeal services between Prague and Riyadh will be available on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while flights to Jeddah will be available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Prague is a key destination for flyadeal, covering the Central European region, and is one of its first destinations as it enters the European market – the carrier also announced flights to Milan and Sarajevo for this summer.  “The launch of our seasonal summer flights to Prague represents an exciting addition to flyadeal’s summer network, providing our customers with greater choice and flexibility during one of the busiest travel periods of the year. Celebrated for its rich heritage, timeless architecture, and vibrant cultural appeal, Prague offers travelers from Saudi Arabia an exceptional opportunity to discover one of Europe’s most enchanting capitals. The introduction of this seasonal service reflects our commitment to enhancing the travel experience by offering an expanding portfolio of attractive leisure destinations. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the authorities at Prague Airport for their valued partnership and support in bringing this new seasonal connection between Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic to fruition,” said Loyd Misquitta, Chief Commercial Officer of flyadeal.

Alongside the influx of tourists from Saudi Arabia, the new routes also open up possibilities for Czech holidaymakers who enjoy travelling to exotic destinations. Riyadh captivates visitors with its striking contrast between ancient fortresses and modern skyscrapers. The city also serves as an easy starting point for a desert adventure. In Jeddah, the historic centre is well worth a visit. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and includes houses made of coral stone. The city is also home to King Fahd's Fountain, which gushes water to a height of over 300 meters.

Tickets are on sale on the flyadeal website.

Flight schedule (local times):
Riyadh 07:35 – Prague 12:50 / 13:50 – Riyadh 20:55 (operating days: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday)
Jeddah 02:55 – Prague 07:35 / 08:35 – Jeddah 15:10 (operating days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)

About flyadeal
flyadeal is a Saudi Arabian low-cost airline and a member of Saudia Group. It launched operations on 23 September 2017 with its inaugural flight from Jeddah to Riyadh. Since then, it has carried more than 45 million passengers. A major milestone came in 2025 when the airline surpassed 10 million passengers in a single calendar year for the first time. In May 2024, flyadeal placed its largest aircraft order to date, comprising 51 narrowbody aircraft – 12 Airbus A320neos and 39 larger Airbus A321neos – with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027. The airline is also entering the long-haul market with its own fleet of Airbus A330neo widebody aircraft. Thanks to its ambitious expansion strategy, flyadeal ranks among the fastest-growing airlines in the Middle East and is considered one of the most attractive employers in Saudi Arabia.
