20. 12. 2025Air Arabia, a low-cost carrier, has come back to Václav Havel Airport Prague after almost six years. Today, the carrier officially launched its regular route between Prague and Sharjah, which will be operated seven times a week. Prague Airport is further expanding its connection options with the Middle East."We are pleased that we have managed to strengthen our connection with the Middle East region by adding another, eighth, carrier. Air Arabia is returning to the Sharjah route and to our airport after almost six years. We are glad that this connection is being resumed as it will expand flight options for passengers travelling not only to the Middle East, but also to connecting destinations - e.g., to East Africa, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur," Jiřà Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, said.Flights between Prague and Sharjah are available daily. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the carrier offers evening flights departing from Prague at 9:35 p.m. On the remaining days – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays – passengers can depart as early as 12:40 p.m. Air Arabia deploys an Airbus A320neo aircraft with a capacity of 174 passengers on the route. The carrier last operated the same route from December 2018 to March 2020 with a frequency of five flights a week.“We are delighted to launch our daily direct flights to Prague, a key European destination which reflects the growing demand for affordable and reliable air travel from the United Arab Emirates. Thanks to its rich cultural heritage, Sharjah has earned the nickname of "the cultural pearl of the United Arab Emirates". The Al Noor Mosque and the Al Hisn Fort, which served as the seat of the ruling Al Qasimi dynasty, are worth visiting. The historical centre will allow you to travel back in time and provide visitors with a closer look at this city's life in ancient times. The city also offers a wide range of museum exhibitions, namely at the Calligraphy Museum and the Museum of Islamic Civilizations.
