This year, Prague Airport supported a total of 81 projects through its Good Neighbourhood grant programme. It distributed 16 million crowns among the selected projects. The airport has been running the programme since 2007, except during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Construction of a school library in Horoměřice, revitalisation of a nursery school garden in Unhošť, a pump track in Červený Újezd, renovation of the community centre in Hostouň, support for festivals, or a multi-purpose playground in the atrium of a nursery school in Prague-Řepy. These are just some of the projects that received support through the Good Neighbourhood programme this year.

"I am delighted that each year we support meaningful projects that contribute to the development of communities in our immediate vicinity. Their benefit can be seen not only in newly built infrastructure, but also in improving the local residents' quality of life and fostering community life,” says Jiří Kraus, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prague Airport.

Prague Airport received a total of 151 applications for this year’s programme. An assessment panel, comprising representatives of Prague Airport and the chairman of the Prague Airport Region association subsequently selected 81 of them for funding.

The Good Neighbourhood grant programme is designed to support projects in areas such as culture, education, youth protection, physical education, and animal and nature conservation. Municipalities and city districts of the capital city of Prague that are significantly affected by the operations of Václav Havel Airport Prague are eligible for funding.
