Prague Airport is establishing a new partnership with Visa. From 1 July this year, the global payment network operator will become the partner of the Terminal 2 lounge at Prague Airport, creating the new Visa Lounge. The partnership has been agreed for five years. In the future, the lounge will undergo a significant transformation, delivering a superior experience and enhanced comfort for passengers.
“Prague Airport has been continually expanding and improving its range of premium services in response to the changing needs of passengers. We consider cooperation with major partners to be a key step in further developing these services and providing passengers with greater added value,” explains Jaroslav Petržela, member of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, adding: “We greatly appreciate our newly established partnership with Visa, a truly global brand. Together, we intend to work on offering Visa Lounge visitors the utmost comfort before their flight."
Visa becomes the partner of the Terminal 2 lounge, previously known as the FastTrack Lounge, following a tender process called by Prague Airport. The companies have entered into a partnership for the next five years. The lounge will be available to premium Visa payment cardholders in accordance with the terms and conditions of their card issuers.
“The first Visa Lounge in the Czech Republic is another step towards providing premium Visa cardholders with benefits that go far beyond making payments. Travelling involves many moments when people appreciate comfort, peace of mind, and high-quality services. This is precisely why we want to offer passengers a space where they can recharge before departure, attend to business matters, or simply enjoy a more comfortable start to their journey,” says Marcel Gajdoš, Visa CEO for the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
The forthcoming transformation of the lounge will include its first complete modernisation since 2008. This will introduce not only a new design featuring a combination of blue, white and copper highlights, but also an entirely new level of passenger experience. Alongside dedicated work zones, including two separate phone booths, a unique “interactive room” will be introduced - a relaxation zone designed to serve as a quiet contrast to the bustling airport environment. This minimalist, unhurried space will allow guests to shift their focus and unwind for a while. Furthermore, through a simple interactive element, they will be able to shape the visual environment to their own liking. The Visa Lounge will therefore offer not only comfortable facilities, but also an innovative and personalised experience that elevates the current standard of premium airport services.
Even now, passengers visiting the Terminal 2 lounge will find an environment ideally suited for both relaxation and work, complete with access to all-inclusive refreshments. The lounge is also equipped with individual security checks, ensuring a swift and comfortable passage through the airport.
