Departure boards are slowly filling up with more and more flights, while the terminals of Václav Havel Airport Prague welcome more and more passengers. During June 2021, direct flights from Prague to over 70 destinations, operated by thirty airlines, are offered to passengers. Low-cost carrier Ryanair will resume direct flights to up to twelve locations in the first half of the month, while Smartwings is to service additional seventeen places. Czech Airlines is adding connections to Malta, servicing a route which will be operated by Air Malta, too. Other airlines are also returning to Prague Airport with their offers. Iberia, Eurowings and Wizz Air are to shortly resume their flights.

"With the summer season underway, airlines are gradually adding connections to new destinations, resuming flights to popular holiday retreats and other interesting places in Europe as of the beginning of June 2021. We expect to see a further increase in traffic and the number of passengers handled in the coming weeks and months. The demand of Czechs for travel is increasing and will be helped, alongside the ongoing vaccinations of people belonging to more age groups and the adjusted conditions for travel, by the planned introduction of Covid passports, which will unify travel across the European Union," Jaroslav Filip, Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business, said.

Prague Airport has also prepared a special website for travellers with current overview of available connections from Prague, including important travel information, check-in details, services and protective measures implemented both at Prague Airport and aboard aircraft, as well as interesting travel guide data. Complex flight schedules and ticketing services are always available to passengers on the websites of individual air carriers.

Alongside the speed, great advantages of travelling by plane are comfort and, most importantly, safety. Passenger handling is subject to strict hygiene standards, including regularly repeated disinfection of aircraft. Airport busy areas, including passenger gates, are also disinfected and cleaned more frequently.  Protective measures implemented aboard aircraft by individual airlines may vary, however, in general, it is mandatory to keep one’s nose and mouth covered for the entire duration of the flight. All applicable information regarding in-flight rules and regulations are always published on the respective carrier’s website. Passengers should always carefully review all currently valid conditions of entry implemented in their final destination and the measures governing their return to the Czech Republic, which may often change swiftly.
