Prague Airport operation were resumed

Operations at Prague Airport were temporarily suspended due to a fire which occured near the main runway 24 visual approach slope indicator (VASI). The airport firefighters have managed to successfully extinguish the fire of the indicator. We are currently closely inspecting the probable cause of why this fire had started. Prague Airport operations were resumed at 12:15 p.m. We will post updates not only here but also in the twitter thread.

Due to the fire, the total of 14 flights were diverted. In terms of flight delay, so far 6 flights have been delayed. The power supply to the guidance light system has been succesfully repaired. Airport traffic was being rerouted to a secondary runway.

The main runway returned back into standard mode at 15:00.
