Where can I find public transport bus stops?

You can find public transport bus stops directly in front of the Arrival Lounges of both terminals. All departing bus stops are numbered Line 59 – direction Veleslavín Railway Station (Nádraží Veleslavín) (change to the Metro, A-line) and Line 100 – direction Zličín (change to the Metro, B-line), or marked with AE (Airport Express).

How much is a public transport ticket to the city centre?

A basic ticket is valid for 90 minutes on all types of Prague public transport and costs CZK 40. You can also use a short-term (30-minute) ticket at CZK 30. A one-way ticket on the Airport Express bus costs CZK 100.

How do I get to the main railway station?

A direct connection between Prague Airport and the Prague main railway station (Praha hlavní nádraží) is provided by Airport Express buses.

Where can I buy a public transport ticket?

Tickets can be purchased at the counter of the Transport Company (Dopravní podnik) directly in the Arrival Lounge, in the Visitor Centre, from the ticket machines in the Arrival Lounge and at the stops or stations (most of them accept payment cards), or via SMS.

Is it necessary to book a ticket for travelling to the city centre in advance?

You can take a public transport bus to the city centre without booking; simply buy a ticket and punch it inside the bus. The tickets are sold directly inside the terminals at the DPP (The Prague Public Transpor Company) counters, in the Visitor Centre or from ticket machines.

Is it possible to rent a car at the Airport?

Yes, you can rent a car from several car rental companies based directly at the Airport. You can find their branches on the ground floor of the Parking C Comfort car park.

How long does it take to reach the city centre?

The public transport buses can take you to a metro station (Zličín or Nádraží Veleslavín) in about 15 minutes. From there, you can continue to the city centre comfortably by the metro, which takes approximately another 15 minutes. Going by Airport Express bus to the main railway station where you can change to a train takes about 40 minutes.

What is an EasyGo Gate?

An EasyGo Gate is a device enabling automatic, self-service passport control for citizens from the European Union and Switzerland. It is only possible to use the automatic passport control if you hold a biometric passport, are a citizen of an EU country or Switzerland and are more than 15 years old. If not, you will have to pass through the standard passport control which is carried out by police officers.
