No, only one container per person over 100 ml and up to a maximum volume of 2 litres is allowed per person.
The change in liquid limits is possible thanks to the installation of modern CT X-ray machines, which increase both security and the seamlessness of the screening process. Terminal 1 is not yet equipped with this technology. As part of the planned modernisation of Václav Havel Airport Prague, a construction of a central security screening point in this terminal is also scheduled, similar to the one passengers now experience in Terminal 2.
The current length of the screening tracks does not allow for the introduction of a larger volume of liquids without the risk of overloading the system. Sufficient security screening capacity will be ensured by the planned modernisation of Terminal 2, which Prague Airport is already actively preparing.
Liquid limits apply as standard to cosmetics, food, and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
The rules for transporting liquids may vary at different airports, depending on the availability of modern X-ray technology and space options. Therefore, it is recommended to always check the rules for transporting liquids applied at the airport from which passengers are flying back to Prague before their travel.
Don’t join the queue. Wait until your flight (flight number/destination) appears on the counter display and check-in has actually opened for it. This helps prevent a situation where passengers for the next flight block check-in for passengers on the previous flight.
This is intentional: specific counter numbers (and possibly the gate as well) are displayed only once they are truly open and confirmed for that particular flight. It helps reduce premature queues and unnecessary crowding.
Non-EU/non-Schengen visitors must register at an EES self-service kiosk before border control. The process may take time, so please arrive at the airport early.
