Gdańsk

Gdańsk, one of the oldest and largest Polish cities, attracts its visitors with the sea, famous beaches, and monuments. Take a walk through the historical centre and its narrow streets, admire medieval houses, old mills, red brick churches, and numerous city gates, which were a part of the original fortifications. The Gothic Marian Basilica is the dominant feature of the city. You can admire beautiful architecture and the colourful houses of Long Street – the basis of the Royal Route – and enjoy a stunning view of the city from the Town Hall tower. After walking around the city, you can relax on the beaches with fine white sand and beautiful natural surroundings. However, you should keep in mind that Gdańsk’s beaches are more about the atmosphere and the scenery than about swimming. The nearby town of Malbork is also worth a visit. Its dominant feature is the largest Gothic and brick building in the world – the well-preserved medieval Malbork Castle.
