Geneva or Geneve, the second largest city in Switzerland, will impress you with its natural beauty, historical buildings, parks, and promenades around Lake Geneva. You can visit a number of important sights in the Old Town, specifically the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter from the beginning of the 13th century, the town hall, the Church of Mary Magdalene, the Maison Mallet episcopal palace, and the birthplace of Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Espace Rousseau).

In the heart of Geneva, there is the beautiful Place du Bourg-de-Four square. The main symbol of the city is Lake Geneva, the dominant feature of which is a fountain which gushes up to a height of 140 metres. Buy one of the sightseeing cruises or go by boat to the other side of the lake. Around the lake, you will also find plenty of parks that lure you to relax there and the beautiful Jardin Anglais garden, where you can see the flower clock. Make sure to try the main local specialties such as fondue, raclette, and fish dishes.
