Plan Your Airport Journey in Advance.

Munich, the Bavarian metropolis and city of contrasts, offers something for everyone. You can look forward to significant landmarks, Bavarian beer, peaceful parks, and bustling boulevards. The ideal starting point for a city tour is the historic Marienplatz Square with the Marian Column. Its centerpiece is the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) with the famous Glockenspiel clock. Right next door is the Hofbräuhaus, Munich's oldest brewery, founded in 1589. Here, you can taste traditional Bavarian cuisine and beer brewed on-site.

Other notable sights include the Frauenkirche, a Gothic cathedral of the Virgin Mary from the 15th century, with its iconic onion-shaped towers offering a great view of the entire city. For those interested in museums and world-renowned art collections, a visit to Königsplatz, the second most famous square in central Munich, is a must. It is home to three prominent Munich museums – the Alte Pinakothek, the Neue Pinakothek, and the Glyptothek.

Also worth mentioning are the Munich Residenz, the Baroque Nymphenburg Palace, and the Nymphenburg Palace complex, a vast Baroque estate with beautiful gardens. After sightseeing, relax in one of the largest urban parks in the world, the Englischer Garten. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful walk or even try surfing on the Eisbach River.
