Nantes, a cultural city full of museums and historical corners, and also the birthplace of the famous writer Jules Verne, is located in western France on the Loire River. Among the most important of its sights are the majestic castle of the Dukes of Brittany (Château des ducs de Bretagne), which houses the Museum of the History of the City of Nantes, and the Cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Nantes).

So, while there, visit the Jules Verne Museum, the botanical garden, and the Tour Bretagne building, from which you will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Take a walk to the island of the Loire - Ile de Nantes, where the famous Les Machines de l’Ile is located, or take a boat trip along the Loire River. Don’t forget to try the local specialty, Breton crepes, which are prepared both sweet (crepes) and savoury (galettes). Macaroons, waffles, crispy baguettes, and great wine are also a matter of course.
