Nordic art, rich history, cute trolls and elk, and reindeer meat, this is Oslo, the greenest city in the world. The Royal Palace with a park, the Akershus castle and fortress, the town hall with two red brick towers, where the Nobel Peace Prize is regularly awarded, and the yellow brick Stortinget building of the Norwegian Parliament are considered to be its most important sights. The snow-white opera, which represents an iceberg plunging into the fjord, is also worth seeing.

You can explore the city’s and country’s history at a number of museums, such as the Norsk Folkemuseum cultural history museum, the Munch Museum, the Holocaust Museum, the Viking Ship Museum, and the Fram Museum. The Tryvannstårnet television tower and the Holmenkollen ski jumping hill are the highlights of Oslo.

To relax, you can visit the famous Vigeland Park with 212 sculptures, each of which expresses different emotions and life situations. The dominant feature of the park is the Tree of Life – a seventeen-metre column made of 121 human bodies. Don’t forget to try local seafood and game specialties.
